Similar Molecules analysis prompts SYNTHIA™ to query its databases of published and commercial molecules to find similar molecules to the one you have added to the molecule editor. Click ‘Start’ to start the search.
When the search is complete, a new popup window opens with the results. By default, the results are presented in order of similarity with the target molecule. Each entry shows the structure of the molecule found, its rank and a Similarity Score.
The Similarity Score ranges from 0 for no similarity to the target molecule, to 1 for an exact match. Only molecules with a Similarity Score greater than 0.7 will be included in the results list.
Commercial molecules display their price per gram and an icon to add the molecule to your Shopping List. Price per gram is based on buying research quantities and calculated as the median of the pricing for all catalogue entries.
Click on the ‘Shop now’ icon to add commercial compounds into your Shopping List (See “Shopping List” in the Analyses Dashboard User Guide to learn how to set up and use your Shopping List for selecting commercial compounds you would like to buy).
Published compounds display a Book tag. The number in the badge is the popularity score of the compound, or the number of times it has been included in a published reaction.
You can also sort the results list by price, in ascending order to see the cheapest compound first, or descending order to start the list with the most expensive ones.
Clicking on any molecule opens the corresponding molecule card, where you can find a link to the literature or patent reference for the molecule. (See “Molecule Cards” in the Analyses Results User Guide for more details.)
